I have a specific NYC weekend style; I love to feel comfortable, especially if I’m going to be walking and exploring all day. There’s nothing worse than being uncomfortable all day until you can change. This past weekend, I was lucky enough to spend 48 hours in New York City with friends. My tiny getaway was perfect. The two previous times I had been to NYC it was so cold and rainy; this time it was warm and beautiful. I’m all about a casual look when on vacation; a great pair of denim, a versatile sweater and some comfortable shoes are where it’s at for me. This sweater, from Zara, is ultra-cosy and easy to wear. It’s perfect for the upcoming cold days and easy to layer with a denim jacket or a coat. Of course, these ripped jeans from Torrid are everywhere and have become a staple in my closet. They go so well with a number of looks. I topped off this look with some Converse sneakers and was ready to head out into the city. Simple yet sophisticated is the goal when it comes to my NYC weekend style and exploring the city. Add a cross body bag and a pair of classic pair of sunnies and you’re ready to go.
I have to say, NYC is such an amazing place! The details on the buildings, the size of Manhattan (next time I’m going to Brooklyn). Traveling by subway made me aware of the organized chaos that is the train system. Nevertheless, I’ve come to like the subway too.
